Throwing it back to last month's Cosmopolitan FM 16th Anniversary event again. Just wanna share a bit about my outfit which I really love! That night I was wearing Happa by Mel Ahyar & Andien Aisyah embellished bomber jacket and Mazuki green jumpsuit which I've posted here before as a collaboration with Masari (I told you I'm ditching my little black dress to play around with this jumpsuit to show you how versatile it is!). Anyway, both are designed by my favorite Indonesian designers, so I'm very proud to wear them despite the fact that I only borrowed the jacket for the event. Yes, if you don't already know, I'm spilling this secret: just like celebrities, bloggers don't always buy new clothes by or get free clothes from brands and designers to go to events, sometimes we just borrow them. By doing that we save so much money, but still can give you references on what wardrobe to shop and it is your choice to splurge or you know, find something similar with lower price. And we still can help the brands or the designers to promote their clothes. Win-win solution, right?
Back to this look, I completed the outfit with this beautiful set of chandelier earrings which I bought from Mango, my favorite mini bag from BOYY which I ordered from Kala Concierge, and a pair of silver high heeled sandals that I scored from ZARA in a very low price on sale season. You see, the stuff I wear are not all expensive. I like to mix high end brands with high street brands, from local or elsewhere. I really have no problem wearing low priced fashion items, as long as the quality and presentation is good.
Anyway, I think you can definitely try this kind of look for attending formal events like weddings, gala dinners, fashion shows, and such as. The question is, are you brave enough? I get a lot of comments from people who know the way I dress up that sound like, "That outfit is so you, it seems like you can wear anything. I can never pull off that kind of outfit." but the truth is you'll never know if you don't try. So be brave, try something new, experiment! You might find a different side of you and that can be exciting.
